Blue Fox,
Brunch that’s worth the wait!
As The Blue Fox says on their website:
"Victoria's first and foremost all day breakfast since 1991. We started this Shizzle!"
What I love about it:
There’s a reason why this colourful, eclectic eatery is consistently rated #1 In the city for the best all day breakfast and brunch since 1991.
The food is absolutely over-the-top delicious. My all time fave is the Moroccan Chicken Benny - just try it. It’s beyond Delish!
I also adore the Banana Pancakes - seriously, what the actual.... craziness.
The service is also consistently excellent. The servers are friendly, polite and efficient, and this is particularly important for those in the disabled community - a smile and a helping hand goes a long way!
Accessibility Features:
Pre-Covid the interior was crowded with small tables and moveable chairs, but since Covid the tables are well-spaced
Level entry
Professional, friendly and accommodating staff
Bathrooms have a level entry but are very small, the hallway to access them was tight and sometimes is cluttered with highchairs, though the servers are quick to assist
A few accessible tables with moveable chairs on the sidewalk and up the breezeway
They have built a Covid-compliant patio space in the parking lane with 5 picnic tables, one with a ramp up to it, but there is no tactile warning before the ramp, so it may pose a tripping hazard for those with visual limitations. Initially they had a table and chairs on the patio which worked for my scooter, but now there is a picnic table bolted down, and as the end of the table is close to the end of the patio, it is very logistically challenging to get my scooter into the space.
Final Verdict:
DELICIOUS food, worth the wait!
Accessible entrance and seating plan.
Very tight bathroom access.
