The Collective Wine Bar and Kitchen
A Taste and Sip of the Good Life…
It’s easy to miss this little gem if you’re not careful, but do not! Tucked between Pizzeria Prima Strada and Mother Nature’s Market and Deli, The Collective Wine Bar and Kitchen serves up a fantastic and very accessible experience in the Cook Street Village.
Delicious food, local curated offerings, knowledgeable and discerning service is what awaits...
What I loved about it:
The delicious food - my friend and I shared the charcuterie board loaded with local and home cured meats, cheeses, mustard, tapenade, apple chutney and more - plus slices of fresh baguette and crispy mini-toasts. This is the best charcuterie board I have found in town, and that is saying something! We then went on to split the moule frites (Saltspring mussels in white wine with saffron broth and Kennebec fries) - Oh my!
Pair this with a flight of their fantastic wine, award-winning local craft beers, or specialty cocktails.
The upscale ambience, and the friendly and knowledgable staff, makes the entire experience at The Collective an absolute delight!
Accessibility Factors:
What I love about the collective, (and I do REALLY love this - it is the overriding reason for this website), is the fully wheelchair/scooter accessible space, flat entrance with not a stair in sight, and large, accessible bathroom.
The bathroom is not in the restaurant itself, but is located through a door at the back of the restaurant down a hallway. There is limited street parking, and there is a pay parking lot behind the restaurant off of Oliphant Ave with an accessible spot.
Final Verdict:
:
I went for the wine and food, which knocked my socks off, but the customer service was exceptional as well. I will be singing praises for the Collective for the foreseeable future! 😊
